Totally fair questions! While it resolves many plot points, it can be said it's left on a cliffhanger. I tried to leave it open ended for future books. It's not as standalone as MDSOA and MDE are.
It's kind of like when you watch a movie and it's clear there's going to be a sequel. That said, I can't promise a sequel at this time so it's important to consider before reading if that's something that is important for you.
