I played the game. Mapping is solid and story works for your standard jrpg stuff (at least in the beginning). My old computer was taking big FPS hit in the battles, so I didn't play it to the end. The battles were good enough, but I think it started with too many skills/systems. And I was a bit disappointed that when I went to the caves, the first troop I fought were the same enemies like in the forest. NPCs just gave one liner quests. The busts and cutscenes were nice and it's always nice to have battle voices. Like I said, due to my computer performance I didn't play it to the end, but if the theme is just a hero with mysterious powers, I think that's a bit unoriginal take on the jam theme.

Hey rpgLord69!

First off, a huge thank you for playing Eclipse of Fate and taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. It means the world to us when players like you dive into our game and let us know what's working and what could be better.

Good news on a few fronts:

  1. We're actively working on reducing the minimum requirements! Our team is knee-deep in optimization right now to make sure more players can enjoy the game without those frustrating FPS drops you experienced.

  2. Those enemies in the caves you mentioned? Totally hear you - those are actually just placeholders! We'll be replacing them with much more variety soon, which should make exploration feel more rewarding.

  3. Your thoughts on the story theme are super valuable. We're planning to add more twists and unique features when the full version is complete. We want the final narrative to really stand out!

Seriously, can't thank you enough for giving our game a chance and for this feedback. Early players like you help shape Eclipse of Fate into something better with every update.

Hope you'll check back when we roll out these improvements!

Cheers, The YSY Team
