I'd like to start by saying i really enjoyed playing the game! It was short and fun and the story was enough to drag me in. I really enjoy the game and the characterization was realistic enough to not take me out of the experience.
I would like to say though, that there were a few things that bugged me a bit. Adrian is described as manipulative, but I didn't really see that in the game. Yes, there was an off hand comment that he 'manipulated those people', but its never really shown that its his nature. He seems like hes a bit scary on the surface but he has good intentions. Even to the end, he seems logical about Jules' opinion on him. It's also a bit unclear of why Jules stopped writing to him in the first place, which I think could have set up Adrian's manipulative nature. Last thing I have to say for it really is that it did leave me curious about what was in Adrian's room. It's mentioned at the beginning of the story and it seems like it's the main mystery since you have no clue what he could be hiding, but its never brought up again and it seems like it never needed to be in the first place.
Of course, this game is old, and honestly I really really liked it despite all of these very minor issues I had with it. If possible, I think it'd be really awesome if you'd be willing to rework the game because Adrian my goat and I think some more screentime and writing could go a long way and more content of him would make my year thanks guys this is awesome
Viewing post in Mr. Adrian's mansion is creepy comments
I'm really glad you enjoyed the game and that you picked up on the hidden clues I placed throughout. You're absolutely right—there is something going on with Adrian's room, and there is a reason why Jules distanced himself from Adrian. These elements were hinted at but not fully explored in this version of the game.
It was for a game jam, but I've actually planned to develop a full version of the game, and I’m aiming to release it later this year. The current game is just one perspective on the story (even though it has multiple endings), so there’s definitely more to uncover about the characters and their history.
Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback!
