“Damian? Who’s that?”
“A pianist recommended by my teacher…I think he’s new in town, but if Mrs. Suzanne is vouching for him, he must be good.”

“Damian? Who’s that?” Francis asked, his cheek squished against his hand as he raised an eyebrow at the unfamiliar name.
“A pianist my teacher recommended,” Yujin replied with a casual shrug. “He’ll be my accompaniment at the Spring Bruch Festival. I think he’s new in town, but if Mrs. Suzanne is vouching for him, he must be good.”
“Why am I not playing with you?” Francis frowned, brows knitting in confusion.
“I was going to ask you,” Yujin replied, offering a placating smile. “But my teacher already reached out to him, and he said yes. Besides, aren’t you supposed to be in Europe visiting your family that weekend?”
Francis sighed, slumping deeper into his seat. “I’d rather play Bruch with you than deal with my aunts. Which concerto are you performing?”
“No. 1 in G minor. Those double stops are going to be the death of me.” Yujin sighed.
