In my opinion you need to get to a place where you're updating either once a month with a minimum of 1 h scene or every other month with a minimum of 2 h scenes, but either way you're producing 1 h scene a month along with some story. I know this may be difficult with having an outside life and possibly another job for income but this should be the goal to keep the game relevant and the fans happy.

X scenes or minutes of content per month is how you end up with slop.

If all you care about is the number of scenes and amount of gameplay time, there are plenty of other H visual novels that can waste a lot of your time... however I would assume you're here for this story and this quality, which simply can't be squeezed out like a quickie. And that's assuming one is spending all of their waking time doing it. It gets even harder when you assume they have a life and aren't some kind of hikkikomori ecchi addict.

It would be unrealistic even if all he was doing was writing a book. That's simply not how this works, and trying to force it to be otherwise is why so many anime, game, writer, and other artists literally end up spending weeks in the hospital or having life ending depression issues.

We will wait however long it takes, there is no alternative.

Keeping the fans happy is irrelevant if the attempt to do so causes a bad product and ruins lives... because that certainly doesn't make fans happy.

Be happy you're not being charged anything to get updates. You're getting this for free if you choose to. Remember that, because you certainly aren't owed nor deserve it.

I have no issues paying for a game that's good and being updated frequently, but I'm definitely not paying anything when updates take a year to come out. So yes, keeping your game relevant is definitely important. No clue why you're talking to me like that in the first place. I simply suggested most successful games are updated with new scenes every 1-2 months. For example, goddesses whim. It's pretty much been updated without delay every 2 months with atleast 2 scenes. Hands down, it's been my favorite game and has my favorite animated scenes out of any other game on itch. Succubus kingdom was close to stealing that spot until it went dark for several months. Never said I'm owed anything, but again, projects need to stay on the radar if they're going to be successful.

much as I'd love to see more frequent updates, that's not how things should go here.

the scenes here in particular have a lot more effort put into them than most. More typical is the "Pick a position, animate at Speed 1, then speed 2 with different camera angle, cum, done" and sure you can do half a dozen of those in a month.

if you want him to pump out that each month, play a different game. Quality takes time.
