Step 1 Yujin Kim's Relationship chart


Brief timeline breakdown:

- Yujin moves in at age 11 (June 14th, 2008)

- When the Main Character moves into the cul-de-sac, Yujin is 13 years old and is entering the 8th grade.

- At age 14 his hair is cut short (at the insistence of his parents)

- At the beginning of step 2 he's 17 and is entering his senior year of high school

Thought it'd be fun to drop this while I'm working on Francis and Gabriel's character intro sheets. Reply with your OC(s) and a blurb about their step 1 personality! I'd love to write about what dynamic(s) Yujin would share with them :D

I FORGOT THAT YUJIN PLAYED VIOLIN LOL 😭😭 i have a MC who plays violin too! maybe they met in canon hehe

MORE VIOLINISTS!!

One scenario could be that they unknowingly share the same teacher and bump into each other during an audition or competition and then run into each other again at a recital and realize that they’re taught by the same person 😼

Or they could be rivals! Yujin is VYING for that concertmaster position 😭🙏 (it’s very unrealistic of him to get it his first year in a new orchestra)

He’d be a first violin but like 3rd/4th stand since he’s new and the conductors haven’t gotten to know him well. Omg we could also make them be stand partners I think that’d be super cute!!

ALL THREE IDEAS ARE SO GOOD OMG!?! at first, i was thinking that the 2nd one wouldn't suit my mc since she doesn't keep enemies (but its more like she doesn't see the other person as an enemy/rival back). but then i realized.. the first two would actually be REALLY realistic for her since she doesn't like it when people are better than her. and if she found out that they were taught by the same person as well, she would NOT take it well.. in the inside, that is. (yes, she has both an inferiority complex and superiority complex.. 😔😔)

i see hes a violinist and i get reminded of the final duet from omori… 💔💔 (cough would love to see him duet with my Non-MC Damian since he knows how to play piano too—)

Runie in Step 1 is a pretty sunny and energetic kid. Hes shy when people meet him at first but once he knows youre chill he’ll reveal himself! Hes also very careful with his strength with people he doesnt know or with friends he knew for a short while.

Im actually not really sure how their dynamic would go (and i also dont wanna mischaracterize Yujin!) but i feel like he’d be a bit intimidated by Runie’s unnatural strength but be chill with it like a second after 😭

DROP THE DAMIAN REFS!! (Francis might fight Damian for that spot though as he’s Yujin’s self-dedicated piano accomplice)

Yujin would definitely be intimidate if he realized Runie was an absolute physical powerhouse when he hasn’t reached the peak of his prime 😭 though any initial fear would be quickly overridden with curiosity- and a bit of admiration.

Yujin blinked, dumbfounded by the scene in front of him. How was it possible for one person to exert so much force? The silence that followed was quickly broken as he realized how rude it was to just stand there staring.

"That’s cool. Does this mean you’ll open the water bottle for me?" he asked with a grin, the stubborn plastic-sealed contraption he’d been struggling with dangling from his hand.
