Most of us didn't even know this game existed prior to people like yourself that hate it causing an uproar and getting it removed from steam. Steam gets hundreds to thousands of games uploaded every single month. The fastest way to kill it would have been to totally ignore it, causing the drama is only going to benefit the dev.
Not only do they get free massive advertising but itch only take a 10% cut on sales versus steam taking a 30% sales cut. So realistically all of this is only going to benefit the dev and give them more money to create more of the content that you hate.I'm not saying that you're wrong or that the dev is right in having made this VN, I haven't played it yet. That being said I have bought it so I can see how heinous it actually is and judge for myself which in turn is supporting the dev financially.
Again I can't stress enough that this dev wouldn't have ever received my money if it wasn't for me discovering the game via a content creator making a big deal about it.
So regardless of whether this game does end up being as heinous and evil as everyone is shouting about or not... Know that your adverse reaction to it is only ever helping it grow and changing that is the only way to ever have any meaningful impact on it.
