Hey man, playing the game now! Some constructive feedback if you don't mind:
>Black text can be difficult to read on its own. If you can do black text with a white outline, its easy to read against any color.
>I got soft locked because I got blocked by my follower when exploring; need to be able to move through other characters unless a specific one is required to stop you
(Idk what you plan for the actual game, so the following may or may not apply once out of the demo)
>There is a lot of talk and no play at the start; adding more play time with the exposition would be a better way to upkeep retention

>I agree the text isn't the most readable. I was going to do white text, but it wasn't showing up on Val's dress - I'll probably play around with some fonts for the next update for sure
>I added the "map" item to help you escape if you get stuck on a map, but I'll probably fix the characters to be transparent for the next update
>This is a good idea - I'll see about adding some gameplay to a couple sections of the intro
