Thank you! this specific part is just confusing / unintuitive. Both paths lead to Anastasia's room, when they "Disappear" from the room => switch the camera's to Anastasia's room and the scene will proceed from there.
Them drinking together eventually leads to the same scene in her room. So that's why you seemingly need to "respec" (You don't just two paths that lead to the same ending)
