I think the people asking about a public update has a point. Could theybe more polite, sure but they are also consumers. I just checked the patreon and the developer is on 0.12 which was posted late March of this year. However here on itch.io, the devlog was poasted it's last update on last year December. That makes people who like the game wonder "when will the next update be." I know it would make me hesitant to buy a product. Look at Yanderedev, 10+ years and his game still isn't finished, and if I constantly need to donate $5+ to get constant access to the newest version, I could pay up to nearly $50 a year to recieve four updates to a game that has no guarantee to ever be finished. The people complaining have that right, as well as the right to just walk away from a product if it feels like no significant progress is being made.
exactly dude the progress report and game release are so so so much infrequent and even if i pay up 6$ for a month that would be ridiculous since the dev isnt so much open to us if he was open like ncrow of goddess whim or smiling dog of jikage rising i might have paid but he is so much in dark atleast he can announce the date
