The thing that would make the most sense is for it to simply be a mechanic. No one ever acknolewges it. Sabrina also is the only character to break the 4th wall, it is likely more of that.
Side note: Im of the idea that there is room to explore canonical respawn scenarios (a very generic example: catgirl that needs to be hunted down multiple times)
