A choose-your-own-adventure horror game still in development; playtesters much appreciated. · By RubyFlash15

I'm not sure if piss was supposed to be here, but it made me laugh and I like it.

"You stand ontop a staircase which leads down a long hallway. The air here is cold against your bare skin, causing goosebumps to crawl across you.

piss."

I really liked the descriptor 'eyes grinding', The art was fantastic as well!

OMG lol I totally didn't realize that was still in there! I put that in there to test some stuff — the word didn't have to be piss specifically I just do that to humor myself. But thanks so much for the comment and compliments! The art took such a long time to do too — like twice as long as everything else

I do that too!!!!!! ahaha I'm sure i'm going  to miss one and it'll end up in my thing too. I right now am making them positive affirmations, so if I forget about them I can come back and while I left in a mistake, I get a little compliment too.  I could tell that you spent a lot of time on things, there are so many great details. I'm making struggling with the art in my game right now too. I'm a quick writer but....not a natural artist at all, but playing your game made me really realize how much cooler it can make things.

Developer

Lmao I hope the art is good, my background is originally in visual art. Also funny enough making video games has been a more recent thing for me; the last game I made before this was like back in highschool, and it didn't involve pictures at all. But yeah art and writing and sound can all help to create a strong atmosphere in a game which is especially important for horror stuff in genre.
Also I like, really wanted to make this game good. The idea behind this game originally started out being a fanfiction for this one vtuber I watch, and it just sort of morphed into its own thing. I plan to tell the vtuber about this, so if they play it on stream (which is a big maybe) I'd want it to show that I was, well competent.

I just started too :) I usually just write linear and was afraid of anything code adjacent but there's just so many cool possibilities with Twine. I hope they end up streaming your game!!!!

Developer

Yeah I hope they do too. I choose twine because I like telling stories and it didn't seem super complicated. I actually made this game with Harlowe because it said it was super simple, but I kinda regret it now because it's kinda too simple
