You CAN fish three times, you need to stay at the exact spot where you fished the first time, press F (or A on controller) and you need to have an empty belly. The sparkles won’t be there. This issue is the same for the map fishing spot, the visitor peliptor if you decline to get eaten and to summon the Lake Serpent boss.
