Personally I prefer to have longer and less frequent updates. But ultimately, for those like me, you could just wait for a few smaller updates to stack up before downloading it.
I agree, I think smaller updates wouldn't provide much content, and the work to put out a release no matter the size would eat into the time to create the content.
