Hogs, Pigs, Boars, Cyboars, Robo Pigs, et cetera, et cetera, whatever you may call them, they plague us all the same; so far, however, I have not seen a permanent solution to their removal.
Until now.
All thats required, is as others have said, to hook them onto the ground, yet as opposed to then killing them, instead, you are to leave them alive.
It appears to be, that there are only 7 of them that can exist at one time, and so, I've taken them to the corner of the map, far away from any chances of harm or disturbances, and have kept them safe.
It was surprisingly easy to achieve; the way I did it was by getting them to follow me, and every time I was hurt, I used pills to regain health; once where they were needed to be, I hooked them down.
I've used 3 hooks on each hog, to ensure no chances of their escape; the placement of the hooks follows as: head, rear, side; they've been pulled relatively taught, but not too much so.
There have been no other observable happenstances of a new hog appearing, nothing seems to have hurt the hogs, and the hogs have not been able to move from their spots.
This endeavor has so far been successful for a number of many real life hours, ingame days, many saves & loads, and sleeps.
(Don't mind the cameras under each hog, it was a tactic used to mark their ping on the radar)
Hopefully some of you may have found this helpful, and thank you for your time.
