Hi there! This week I was experimenting with differing predelay, which really munges the start of notes but gives a much larger reverb sound. Each track is toned down to roughly 20% of total volume and brought up in successive rounds. Predelay settings of 20ms to 60ms give repeated notes a 'head start' on filling the reverb room with bigger sounding echoes. Secondly, my challenges to mixing amount to when to be realistic in modifying sounds (like gritty high notes, which predelay dulls or overdoing bassy reverb, which destracts from rhythm) or when effects strengthen and emphasize a feeling.
