I think they could be great friends actually!! In Step 1-2, MianMian doesn't talk that much but she does like to hear and help her friends, so Leonard and her could be good friends that when Step 3 happens, she would be more expressive with him since he's having a difficult time, probably would start taking the initiative for him so he doesn't feel compeled to do so, MianMian just wants him to be happy and comfortable, that's why she'll start to do things and going out with him more often, also, reminding him sometimes to take care, sleep and eat well, etc! 😺
