From what I see, you've reached the storyline where you torment Nora to get the password, so I guess to go upstairs, you need to torment the maid Nora before you can open the staircase door. I haven't replayed since version 0.24, but as far as I remember, to go upstairs, you need to torment Nora first, then Adele will take care of Nora, and you can open the staircase door.
And that's the problem, I can't talk to Nora because it says I have to get closer first, but there's no option to increase hearts, and honestly it's like the game skipped trigger quest, I mean when I enter the underground suddenly Nora and Adele appear without any cg or animation or talk wathever its called
