On Android the text area can cover a substantial portion of the screen, and thus content too. I’ve seen other Ren`Py games solve this with one/all of the following:

  • Make it possible to temporarily hide the text area. Usually a hide button at the bottom along the others like the back button. Sometimes, instead of a button the text area is hidden with a downwards swipe. Sometimes both.
  • Make the text area opacity configurable in the options menu. Sometimes color too, but opacity should be enough.

Would really appreciate if you considered implementing one, or both, of the above.

Also, the bottom buttons are in general annoying to use on Android, since they are small and at the edge of the screen, so I’ve also seen many games have an option to go back when tapping on the left side of the screen (configurable in the options menu), and some games open the save menu when swiping up. Helps a lot on Android, so again, would appreciate if you’d consider them.

Thank you for the feedback! I would definitely like to take a look at the UI, if not in the next release then for sure in the final release.
