I agree as I also find myself in that spot torn between making new things and revisiting old ones, could be a reimagination, regardless Im sure itll be yet another gem. By intimate I guess I mean maybe one household? or a smaller family unit? like how in Lone mother  it was just the three mains.  Ive always had a bias for the boy/son centered perpective as the lead protagonist, like in desperate days or michael's family. In my mind theres a sort of equivalence , the bigger the household(more family members) the less intimate, but it also means less content(potentially?) and inversely, the less numerous the  family the more intimate it can get?  if that makes sense

It does, also the more "time resource" or "storage resource" (video files can make the build too big to run on platforms like android, etc...) spent on more characters, the less that is spent on deepening the others
