Thank you for the review! The use case for the torch is not just limited to increasing fires, as it is also the way to light bombs. As for the fires, they do also grow on their own, just incrementally - the torch can also grow the fires. I agree that it would be better to have a more freestyle sandbox aspect of the game, but Scratch is unfortunately just not built for it. In fact, we had to design the entire physics and destruction system manually which took a while.
