Aha now I understand. About the field of view I have to check the settings in Unity to see if I can change something. And you are right that the movement is a bit slippery. I had to do a trick with a second collider otherwise the character would end up completely stuck at some collisions. I will probably not update this game anymore but use these comments for my next project.
