this has been fairly fun, I think you’ve earned good ratings but I can tell it’s just not my cup of tea.

It feels very strategic, with visibility of enemy movements on the explored map. The inability to backtrack feels quite punishing (1 versus 3 spikes? I didn’t check what the difference was), but the maps generate enough loops that it rarely forces you back on it.

I have been ambushed at the start of a level quite a few times: I don’t know where the chokepoints are yet and enemies are marching out of unexplored regions on a beeline to me.

Some enemies (orc?) seem able to turn and strike in the same turn, which is pretty annoying when I have to spend a whole turn to face my second attacker.

The UI is tastefully just above monochromatic and the niceties of the game pieces sliding around, fade in/out, just a little bit of sfx - nicely done, this is a solidly presented jam game
