It's a fun game! I was able to live a long while, but it seemed like I couldn't cycle through the turrets for some reason - I could only place the brown/wood turret.
Same here, the turret cycle button didn't work so I could only place the one kind. Also I was only able to use the secondary shooting attack 1 time, then it never worked again.
