I just imagine him seeing her walk out of the campus lab and start having a panic attack as soon as he saw her tangled mess of a ponytail. To be clear, she brushes it in the morning as part of her daily routine, not that it does much good.
Her hair isn’t damaged, just tangled. However, the college requires all instructors to look professional for class. So she knows how to groom her hair, she just doesn’t care. You know, the more I’m typing this, the more it sounds like Haruki’s worst nightmare.
