I’m sorry to hear that the game didn’t meet your expectations; I take full responsibility for not explaining the mechanics more clearly. Regarding the enemy, you can't freely attack as you'd like. Instead, you lock onto a target and strike it. The target selection is based on the direction the camera is facing (there was supposed to be a marker pointing to the current target, but I didn’t have time to implement it). Also, you don’t damage the dragon by hitting the stones. The dragon becomes vulnerable when it descends to the lower part of the stone. The attack colliders are only enabled when the dragon is within the hittable area.
