Howdy everybody
Just thought I'd post a quick run down of the systems in the game so it's a little clearer how stuff works. Some of it is self explanatory, some not so much. I'll also run down how to get the best results for your diet and a couple tips and a bug I've found
Of the meters you have, there's the stomach and hydration meters, which represent your fullness and hydration respectively. So long as the hydration bar is filled, you'll be able to eat food and thus fill the stomach bar. To increase your stomach capacity, you have to fill the bar past the red zone.
Next is the intestines and digestion meters. The first represents how much waste you can carry and the second represents how fast your body goes through food and produces waste. Increasing the first is important because your stomach meter won't go down until you empty the intestine bar, and to do so requires you to go to sleep right around 80% intestine capacity. You can fill up closer than that, but be careful about how full it is, as you won't be able to sleep if you have to go to the bathroom.
Another thing to keep in mind is the digestion bar, as the only way to increase it is by keeping full and hydrated as long as possible (I think, I haven't quite figured that one out yet)
Up next are two very important bars, the weight and muscle meters. The weight bar (what you're here for) and the muscle bar has two features you should be aware of. First, it represents your ability to carry your body as it fattens up, and second, it represents the amount of energy it takes to move around and do things around the station.
In order to avoid a situation where you can't freely move around, you have to keep the muscle bar high enough in the green. To fill the muscle bar you have to work out and gain muscle points (the maximum points you can gain are 1.5 from a 5 hour workout, and the least is .30)
Now, gaining/loosing weight is determined by your character's ability to eat above/below about 2,000 calories in a 24 hour period. When starting out, I recommend going through the whole station to find all the food/resources that spawn in around the map once you enter the game. This includes the container in the bedroom, the closet in the hallway just outside of the bedroom, and the bag in the store room. Once you do that, you should have a lot of salmon, pizza, milk, and water.
Once you have all of this, start off with a couple pieces of salmon and a glass of milk before chugging a lot of water to fill up your stomach, you can use the sinks in the shower room and the kitchen, but I recommend using the water in the inventory instead to do this. once you eat, go workout in the room with the giant ball inside for 2 hours. This will push you out of the negative zone and keep some energy in your bar. Once that's done, fill up on a little water and eat what you can, and remember, the goal is to go just above 2,000 calories a day, so over doing it and gaining too fast will push your muscle meter in the negative. YOU DO NOT WANT THIS.
Once you're done with your post gym stuffing, go to the common area and rest in the sofa for a couple hours (go for around 3-5 hours for best digestion and energy recovery rates). After you sit down for a bit, eat some salmon and chug water gin before making your way down to the gym and work out for another 2 hours.
Eat and chug again until full and keep an eye on the clock: you can only sleep once the in-game time hits 22:00. If your managing your time right, you should have about 1 to 2 hours to fill yourself back up to maximum stomach and hydration levels before bed. Remember to fill up your intestine bar to around 80% by using the shower hose and head right to the bed. Sleep for about 6-7 hours to get all your energy back and to expand your intestine meter.
Do this for a while, adjusting whatever you'd like to achieve your desired results, and you'll start seeing your character grow fatter and their stomach and insides holding more and more food. The maximum capacity increases your stomach and intestine bars can reach are around 4,000 grams, so keep that in mind.
Now the game runs fairly well, certainly needs some more fine tuning, but there is one major bug that needs immediate addressing: when loading your game, your muscle bar will go into the negative in proportion to your weight meter. So if you're around the 50/60 kilo range it's not too bad, but the higher your weight is the more in the negative you'll be and this can cause your character to move extremely slowly and can't run.
Other that, it's a very nice game and I can't wait to see more content for it.
I burnt 37 chickens trying to cook a baked whole chicken/10, will do it another 92 times
