Here is my review :

Good points:

  • The menu works perfectly with the style of the game. The button UI is very cool, and everything works with no bugs.
  • For the game itself, the loop is great. The ability to view stats is a nice feature, and the animations and general art of the game are really good.
  • The voice acting is, I think, perfect. The story is simple but effective. The difficulty is good, and the rhythm too.

Bad points:

  • Maybe the gun's direction, which can only shoot in 4 directions, but I think that's a design choice. More upgrades, like new guns, could be nice (although, in just a week of work, it’s hard to do much better).

Improvements:

I don’t claim to have the best solution, but here are my suggestions:

👉 First, when you press tab, you show the robot's stats. Usually, games of this style make sure that all upgrades are visually represented. For example, for latency in controls, we could think about adding a latency bar or a network icon that decreases when you take that upgrade, reaching red when the robot hits max latency. This could be applied to all skills, so visually, the player could see things like their attack stats, how many critical hits they have, with maybe a damage indicator on enemies. All of this could be done while keeping the stats table, for players who want more detailed info on their stats.

I hope your game goes far because it deserves it. It’s very well developed for a week of work well done for that ! 👍

That’s all from me. If you want to check out my game and rate it, it's much less developed and complete than yours, but it tells a story that maybe isn't told enough (if you test it please download the Windows version and not the web version, or you won't understand anything) 👍
