The majority seem to have found the game just fun and beautiful but do not talk about the game mechanics and it is understandable why. People just want a romance between the two (that's just weird) like 13 year olds getting excited over pixels.I was annoyed by the amount of unnecessary words and the somewhat bland story surrounding the game, the game would have been better if it had been longer with other mechanics, and without a romance story that has nothing to do there. And reviewing the movements would already be a good start.

I feel you're misinterpreting? The idea is the limited mechanics - you're a boss, and therefore have a limited moveset that is highly telegraphed and gives the opponent an opportunity to attack back
It's also a game much more focused on the story, which is itself pretty good, exploring how being a boss and not being able to improve (e.g. get new mechanics) is its own sort of prison, while the hero's victory is an inevitability due to his ability to change and progress.
In that same way, it's a story about the importance of change, and that everyone is capable of it so long as you open up your heart to it.
