I agree with others below that making a game like this is pretty ambitious, and it was pretty fun (until I died on the final boss)! I had a few suggestions:
- The movement feels a bit inconsistent in terms of controlling exactly where you end up. I like that it’s fast (auto-run is good) but a bit more control would be appreciated.
- It would be useful if opened chests had a different sprite to avoid checking the same one multiple times.
- A control that you can hold down to scroll text faster would be nice.
- If you enter then leave a room quickly enough, the screen doesn’t follow you anymore.
- Some more visible numbers would help. Was I leveling up? Was there any advantage to fighting more enemies? It was unclear.
