Congrats on your first Godot game and it sounds like the furthest you've made it on a game project. Those are huge accomplishments and all in a short time period! You should be proud!

I definitely feel the sonic vibes! The animations were on point and the character model was well done. Your GDD provided plenty of information to give me the idea you were going for. It all makes sense how the fuse was lit and I especially liked how you added the water sprinkler at the end to put out the fuse. The fuse timer will be a good touch as well to add that challenge for the player plus it gives people a reason to play again. Gamers love their leaderboards/records/achievements!

The controls are one area that I think could be improved on slightly. C and X are a little random, especially if someone just jumps right in. Typically, spacebar or up are "standard" for jump and probably down for roll. I also struggled with the wall jumps. It took several tries to get it down, so it could be a skill issue. Just something to keep in mind.

Overall, you have a solid start to a fun platformer. I hope you continue working on it and keep on learning. You made great progress here! Would love to see more submissions from you in future jams.

the controls were probably a bad decision yeah,  im used to the controls from a platforme called Celeste so i brought them in here. they're definitely weird if you've never seen them before.

as for the walljumps, i just couldn't get their coyote time to work properly, so you have to wait until you're literally touching the wall to jump, definitely hard than it should be. thanks for playing!
