a2 ~a due~ was a great experience when I played through it a few years back. I’m not the type of person to dive into Otome VNs, but this one is absolutely worth it.

Our female protagonist is a fantastic character. A rocker girl who’s father was a famous classical music conductor. Talk about opposite directions in music. The direction of classical is eventually the direction she’s forced (in a way) to follow into and run into potential love interest who can’t even  speak her language, which leads to hilarious situations.

The designs & personalities of characters are great. Sona – the protagonist – gives the vibes you’d expect of a woman that’s deeply into rock music. Same with Hao who’s representing the actual classical side. Basically if you think in a stereotypical manner, you get what you expect. All in all though, it all clicks together for the duo. There are also side characters who are great to have around.

Speaking of graphics as well – the backgrounds, images between chapters are very eye-catching. Background music – pleasing to the ear through entire story.

All in all, I say it’s worth playing. And I’m speaking from perspective of someone who rarely plays Otome games. Plus you can get the Music Album from downloadable files.

I also played the game on my YouTube back in the day when I first discovered it. You can find my journey in a2 ~a due~ playlist that I created.
