The Elevator is a Visual Novel taking place in the future. The protagonist of the story – David – is a private detective that has been through bad experience (typical detective in the stories, wouldn't you agree?). On a daily basis he’s using the elevator. In which he runs fairly often into Elena, a young women working on a different floor.
Those encounters and their talks are the main focus of the game. Two characters running into each other and engaging in coversations. What they are talking about, what they might be trutful about, what they might lie about - I won’t tell you, that’s for you to find out.
This game is a Visual Novel as I already stated. That of course means you do get to pick from some choices, which will lead you to eventually reach one of two endings. And each you can get relatively fast given the fact entirety of the game has a bit over 9000 words used. The dialogue between two characters is well-written and shows the atmosphere in great way. Artworks fits the story perfectly and all is accompanied by good OST.
I played the game a few years ago on my YouTube channel, too. If you’re feeling like checking that out I’m leaving the link to my playlist of The Elevator.
