Are you sure it isn't Windows just trying to warn you that you are trying to run an EXE from an unknown source?  Windows won't allow you to run EXE files you download by default, so you need to click on "More info" then "Run Anyway" in order to run it.  If it truly is a virus, I am sorry that that happened to get into your computer.  I don't have any viruses, I don't think, and quite a number of other people have downloaded the game and not reported a virus.  Still, thank you for bringing this to my attention.  Please let me know more details so I can determine whether it was a legitimate virus caused by my specific game.

Just to clarify: I didn't receive a virus, because I couldn't download the file in the first place. A security feature I'm unaware of, stopped me from downloading the game, because Windows is trash.

I used chrome, Edge, and Opera to try and download the file at first, and all three times the download would be interrupted, claiming there was a virus detected, so it wouldn't even finish the download. I disabled my firewall, my security, and my VPN and I STILL got the same message.. And I've never had that issue with downloading anything from itch.io before.. I ended up getting the file from my friend Kirb because 'he' had no issues downloading it for whatever reason, so I scanned the file itself just to be sure, and sure enough it was completely clean! ..So I'm at a loss lol

Oof.  That sucks.  Though I'm glad you were able to get it and there were no viruses on your computer.
