Minor thing, but tool switching during an animation doesn't switch the animation.

Example:

1) use hammer, 2) press 3 for knife

3) now you are now hammering with a knife

other way around you would be stabbing with an hammer

as I said - minor thing but well there is that...

I had something kind of similar to the last poster. I would have no tool in my hand but when i got into interacting range with a tree it would play the chopping sound and gather branches. It would lower the durability of the knife. Maybe it affects other tools as well. The problem usually went away after sleeping or loading. Didn't notice it happening with rocks but it did play the soundbite with the dragon egg though nothing happened. Fun game.

Thank you. I thought I fixed that invisible knife bug. Are you sure you're playing the most updated version? (the version with the pick up indicator on all items)

Downloaded the game this friday through the itch.io desktop app. It should be the latest version. The pick up indicator is there.

Remembering some other stuff right now.

I also got stuck in a tardigrade corpse. Couldn't move until it was completely harvested.

Filling the water bottles is also a little difficult sometimes. Had to move around the well and retry a few times before it would allow me to fill.

Chased an antilope into the river. It kept moving back and forth but didn't get out and didn't run away when I got close.

I think the knife glitch may have been linked to swapping tools while swinging. If so, that should be fixed now and will be in the next update. I'll look into the other things also. Thanks again.

The demo crashes after a couple of mins.  The event viewer suggests it's an UE4 memory leak issue.

It may be when a resource hungry process such as a game or it's engine isn't freeing up or handling ram very well,  until it crashes:

Fault bucket 1558362922347216157, type 5, Event Name: RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64. Response: Not available, Cab Id: 0.

Problem signature: P1: UE4Game-Win64-Shipping.exe, P2: 4.14.3.0, P3: 10.0.22631.2.0.0

My specs are: Intel 13600K, 32GB, 6800 GPU (latest 24Q4 Pro Driver), running Win 11 (reports as windows 10.0.2 above)

As it's crashing on both Nvidia and AMD, it is highly likely that many people are experiencing ram issues with this game. I haven't tested it on Battlemage but I suspect this will result in the same. Perhaps the game could be ported over to UE5 if it was more stable.

Hello, I apologize for the late reply. Are you using the itch game launcher, or are you running the game directly from the downloaded files? it has to be run through the itch launcher to run correctly.

I normally use the direct web download option for all titles that shows. In relation to the error I had before, I wouldn't have thought a problematic store launcher would be much help aiding memory management and avoiding such errors, unless you mean to simply help users auto update.

I say problematic as the Itch launcher has been reported to either often not run titles, or even install the launcher in my case. Even after setting all rules for executables related to the launcher, it would still show javascript connection errors within (JSON RPC error 9000). An example is here. I'm sure there's an easy fix, but I'll leave it for now.

I've noticed that in other games, with both UE4 and UE5 engines, generic 'fatal' crashes are most common. As it's been a good while and I've updated my graphics drivers a couple of times, I've given your title another go and can edit this post if I need to report any crashes. I've run your game for over an hour now, experimenting with the different screen and graphics settings, and it seems to be working now without errors.

I appreciate the feedback. Using the launcher for updates is one of the reasons I recommend it as well as for avoiding or fixing crashing issues. I don't know exactly what the issue is, but using the launcher almost always fixes it. If it crashes while playing through the launcher, that is usually an issue I can find on my end, especially if it can be repeated.

Yeah I'm getting this problem also. Totally unplayable. :(

Game crashes the minute I open it. Will load the level and let me walk around for a few minutes before crashing.

Hello, are you playing through the itch launcher?
