i adore the dystopian vibes, and the pixel art, and just the little details that really make the game feel so much more plasticy and fake in a cool vibes way.
for example, the fact that the store has no fruits, or frozen meats, or literally anything besides bread. which kinda makes sense cause they dont need to eat as they're dead. like omg. genius.
and the subtle detail of how Michel has presumably a dead body under her roses after noting that they need more nutrients and later tells us we look good in red????? what???????? omg
and the flowers??? FLOWERS????? genuinely creepy when u find out. especially if u got the cain disappears ending before the "run away" ending. it's so weird thinking, why are people sending flowers? is this some sort of simulation? or are the flowers a physical representation of their loved ones missing them from beyond the grave, which is why cain and rapheal dont have any cause u know. family issues. or maybe i'm way over thinking this and it's just as the game says.
and when u can annoy the guard into re-erasing ur memory???? absolutely hilarious
and the way the colorful world contrasts with the dreams???? chills. chills.
and cain omg cain my beloved. i loved this lil sh*t so much. the way he's embarrassed to talk about how we were "roommates"
(and they were roommates. heh)
Cain just feels so interesting to poke around, his personality is so... i dunno how to put it. just, adorable? not in the romantic way, in the, "look at this cat slowly warming up to me, awwww" way. and i can't imagine how he'd feel when his dead roommate just appears from the apparent dead forgetting all of their memories AHHHHHH omg.
the way cain's actions and dialogue can be recontextualized with the knowledge that rapheal went missing????
it seems that cain stayed alot longer at the town then the other residents cause he recognized us, but noone else did (obviously monday recognized us). both Eury and Michel comment on there being a new mail man so they must be newer with the doctor just leaving
out of all the characters, i feel the one that has the least characterization is surprisingly Monday. i dunno why, i just think he needs a few more interactions with the other characters in order to really feel solid. right now he feels very one note. very, i'm just here to set the vibes. ya know? but from what the creator said it seems his ending got cut for time so it makes sense and im not to mad bout it
i do feel that there were quite a few ends though. mostly, ya know. the part where we got shot? and the part where someone else got shot? and the person hiding in his house who isn't receiving the 'flowers' which help u move on. and the hopital.
i do believe that the person that shot us isn't from Eury despite the figure being described as having brown hair. and the obivious fact that she owns a gun. but the fact that she doesn't recognize us makes me think otherwise. idk. i may just be hallucinating a theory together. who knows? someone debunked me sooo just ignore this part ehe
also, the figure that got shot.... uh...... i dunno. i dont't really have a theory on em. the most i got is a that it may be a neighbor that went mad or maybe a corrupted soul/piece of data if we're going with the simulation theory, which is why cain recognized them as being a 'human' but the newer residents didnt. strange how Monday didn't leave the church but maybe im overthinking this.
anyways if u've read this all the way through then u deserve to get the money glitch (atleast i think this is the glitch). basically on Sunday michel will give u berries when u talk to her (im not sure if u need friendship to get them but i don't think so.) u can sell these to Eury when u talk to her and get the option to shop, go to sell. the berries only sell for 5 coin so be ready to sit there for hours. good luck
