Because Desktop Goose is a Desk Accessory, it doesn't show up in the Dock. To quit it you must use Activity Monitor, AppleScript or Terminal.
• Terminal: killall "Desktop Goose"
• AppleScript: tell app "Desktop Goose" to quit
