Well I've made an account simply to comment about this game, and I just want to rant a bit

Our Life: Now and Forever is a wonderful game. The art style is charming, the character designs are beautiful and cute, and the backgrounds are visually pleasing. There’s a lot to say about the art, but what really made me love the game is something many romance games don’t do the immersiveness.

I think the game is easy to get into, primarily because you can fully insert yourself into the story. You create your character, choose how you're addressed, define your gender identity, and even decide what you look like. On top of that, the game is very queer-friendly, which, as a bisexual man, is something I deeply appreciate.

One of the things I really like is Qiu’s character and the experiences they go through in part of Step 2, though I’ll avoid spoilers here. So far, I’ve explored nearly all the content available for Tamarack, as she was my first choice when I started the game. I love how the relationship dynamics vary based on how you interact whether you’re shy, confident, rude, or a quiet observer.

In my playthrough, I ended up being more of a follower with Tamarack, and I found the scenes to be well-written. They capture a lot of childhood nostalgia while maintaining the game’s charming atmosphere. It’s refreshing how simple, everyday experiences like exploring a neighborhood, disliking a teacher, being shy at school, or feeling jealous over someone you like are depicted so thoughtfully.

I’m thoroughly enjoying the content I’ve experienced so far. I could write much more, but I don’t want to spoil it for those who plan to play. If you’re considering it, I highly recommend giving it a try when you have the time. I’ve enjoyed the few hours of content available and am excited for the full release!
