I think you're confusing public with free. It's public in the sense of being out in the open for people to see and buy if they want to. If it were private, it wouldn't be listed as purchasable.

No, I understand, simply everyone here on itch.io calls the free version public (different from the patreon, subrscibestar etc), that's what I meant.
