It won't let me play the game because on my laptop I have to "Extract the file" to play games but it does something weird

I had the same issue but figured out the solution. Download Winrar https://www.win-rar.com/start.html?&L=0 and when you go to extract it will say winrar as an option, and you can click that and then click extract with winrar and it will work.
