Okay, I really like the idea and the atmosphere of the game. So that is a big plus. But for me, that is where it ends. True to the description, the controls are very annoying. Not only how the crane controls and the ship moves sometimes but also just the ludicrise button mapping. It is also not helped by the fact that the crane blocks a part of your view when you try to position yourself correctly. But I kind of got used to it after the 3rd catch. The game sadly feels not very satisfying for me. Spoilers ahead but here the TLDR: Love the idea, dislike the execution.

It just feels cheap to fight against the controls for 40 minutes or so with nothing happening. No change in atmosphere, no spooky happenings, nothing. Nothing up to the last catch, where you get jumpscared and the game ends. This feels a bit inspired by Iron Lung, but where the atmosphere there builds up over time, this does not. So the ending feels very cheap, and to be brutally honest, if this was a game that I paid for, I would refund it.

Despite all of it, like I said, I really like the idea of the setting and the gameplay. Im going to keep my eyes open for the full release to see what is different and maybe give it a chance.

This is exactly what i needed to hear, i'm very thankful for your reply and honest opinion.

I want to balance between hard to control but engaging and at the same time not fall into frustrating/boring gameplay, and right now, the game is too clunky for its own good.

I will focus on making the game easier to control and, in general, fair to play. I also think the way I explain the controls could be improved, as of now the five pages of text are a big turn off for most people.

I should also reward the player every time an F-POT is successfully emptied.

As I said, thank you sou much. This feedback is invaluable to the development of the game and I really appreciate your comment.
