I've snooped around the app folder and the item in MAC OS folder is just a document instead of Unix Executable file, maybe thats the issue
Found a fix, maybe it can be updated next time. Using terminal commands you need to add executable permission to the mentioned file in MacOS folder, hope this helps :)
