Since I haven't seen any updates as of this post: I have been able to purchase the Digital Edition on the BitmapSoft website and play it on OpenEmu on macOS, on the ModRetro Chromatic & original hardware via an Everdrive X7 cart, as well as on an RG Cube XX running Knulli
