when i tried to implement the same thing, i got this.

what it shows is that there's supposed to be something in between "callback" and "(event," and i am wondering what it means... sorry if i sound like a dumbass but i started renpy a few weeks ago.

100 years later and I'm just reading this, but I can only think in a some sort of issue with python, but without seeing the code, I'm drawing a blank. Hopefully you solve your issue and I'm sorry

Nah, you're good. The project's been scrapped and a rework is on the way with the new Ren'Py version... Sad that I worked hard on it and I didn't get a reply until now. Sorry Ginny.
