Knight Coins is a promising platformer with a solid foundation. The game’s visuals are charming, and the music is catchy. The controls feel responsive, making the platforming experience enjoyable. I particularly liked the Mario-inspired level with its energetic remix of the classic tune.
While I'm not the most skilled platformer, I managed to reach level 7 only, which shows the game is a challenge. I would appreciate some form of feedback when dying, such as a screen shake or sound effect, to enhance the overall experience. Additionally, while the game is fun, I struggled to see how it embodies the "Built to Scale" Jam theme.
I encountered a couple of minor bugs. After completing level 4 in English, I was unexpectedly thrown back to level 3 in Spanish. Furthermore, dying multiple times in level 7 sent me back to level 2.
Despite these issues, Knight Coins is a promising game. With a bit of refinement, it has the potential to become a truly enjoyable platformer.
