It's actually a bit economically unwise to not have this game here (or on Steam, for that matter) be paid. PC players aren't going to spend this much time/money on a mobile game anyway. They will buy a 20-30$ game though. So it's not like you'd be losing revenue if you had this buyable for PC as an .exe, you'd be getting more revenue, more recognition and more respect. You know, those things that are usually very valuable for game developers. But you do you. Not like there aren't other ways to play this game for free.

"more revenue, more recognition and more respect" sounds funny when this game has recorded over a million downloads on mobile stores..........

Not sure what point you're trying to make? It would still gather significantly more attention if it was opened up to a broader market especially into one that has a huge love for VN's and Interactive Fiction in general.

To explain the context of my statement: I found efadfa’s passive-aggressive, condescending attitude to be extremely rude. They’re essentially exploiting the fact that as a service provider, Nyx Hydra can’t risk offending potential customers, and using that to wield consumer power over them.

If you or efadfa were right that the PC VN market is really that large, then surely there would be plenty of studios with 5 or more full-time staff. Do you know even one? I play a lot of PC VNs, and the reality is that almost all of them are made by part-time creators as a hobby. Even in the rare cases of full-time devs, we’re talking about maybe 1–3 people at most.

Did you know that even Red Spring Studio, the team behind Touchstarved, operates on a part-time basis? Meanwhile, mobile games like LADS have over 100 full-time staff working on them. So this idea of a broader audience existing on PC is just a distorted perception of reality.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with not knowing this, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting a $20–30 Steam version either. But what I do take issue with is how many people in this comment section are demanding it while being aggressive. That’s the real problem I see here.
