It is interesting, but it feels more like just a board game. I would enhance it as follows:

1) Add the rule saying that a dead cat goes directly to the highest 7th Heaven!

2) Add rules for cooperation of more cats.

3) The rule of narrate to be enhanced to at least narrate but rather roleplay!:)

4) Add rules for make picture of the cat (each player shuld have an another picture), even also a tokem (rounded piece of paper with the downsized picture of he cat).

5) Enhance the rule for the tokens of ghosts to be varios, e.g. each ghost to have an anothe token including an another agenda etc.

These are all splendid suggestions. Sounds like you have a Cat Hack of your own in the works.

I agree, it certainly does rub up against the window of not being an RPG. It's a valid and valuable observation! I am all about exploring the periphery of the hobby.

Thank you for giving my game a bit of your time, attention, and constructive feedback! If I circle back for a second edition/sequel, I'll refer back to this post for some vectors of enhancement. Perhaps Cat: Save Us From... Gebbeths. :-)

Try TTRPG "You're a cat and you sucks" 😉. It wasn't a rudeness from me, that was really the name of the TTRPG available at DriveThruRPG if not also here.

I'm not associated with any cat-related game, but I have huge knowledge also about animals (I hope that I needn't note my knowledge of TTRPGs to you as apparently advanced observer 😊). My closest game is a physical RPG about INNER animals: https://ormrin.itch.io/rpg-inner-animals-showing-off

Feel free to respectfully rate all my games including what I have under DMDU in DriveThruRPG.
