Hi, I've just played this game from the Racial Equality and Justice bundle.
I wanted to say you did a pretty good job with this project. Theres a lot ot stuff in there for a single person in a single month.. I've done some tiny ren'py scenarios in the past and it's deceptively long to put something together, especially when one's adding many custom systems to it, and you definitely did ! Yes the dialogues repeat but that's already many dialogues... It's VERY hard to come up with a ton of conversation (← has tried for a similar concept on twine, didnt get past 3 and they were a lot shorter)
I think the base idea is pretty good. I definitely felt the yandere fae undertones. I was also able to relate to the protagonist because I'm also the loner type, and I definitely tried to have a fictional friend only to give up because I wasn't able to believe the daydream.
The only moment I was taken out of it was when Heroine ranted about protests she was seeing on TV and the protagonist telling her it didnt matter because their daily life wouldnt change either way. Both rubbed me off the wrong way lol, but that popped up very late into the game. I stopped around day 68 and saw from the guide I've bought out the shop and got pretty much everything. I used the skip button for text I didnt want to reread and I didnt feel like I was wasting my time.
And one last honorable mention to that opening scene you put together, i felt like it must have taken very long to make.....
People should remember not everybody on itch io is a corporation. I'm always advocating for *everyone* to try out ren'py at least once because it's so easy to start (although it gets harder pretty fast with every layer of complexity you choose to add in T_T) and that includes whoever might be reading this comment in the distant future ! Download ren'py and try it for yourself too :D
