You know Rides drop as loot! Rides are open for the taking. There might be some logistics about getting it away safely or back someplace for it to be useful depending on the circumstance.
I thought I would leave the specifics of the heavy modded Rides of the boss up to the GM so they can better scale it to the PCs power level. They could even reach outside the box even and look to other inspiration in media and add their own version of EMPs, lasers, rail guns or even built in booby traps to be extra sneaky.
