there is info about how much you are in debt, talk to the landlord after not paying for like a week or two, I saw I was 1200 in debt once I talked to him.
I had an old save, and never paid, when he asked I was 17k in debt.
I pretty much just stopped since the Casino is not in the game yet and it will break things if you talk to him and he tries to force you to go to a place that doesn't exist.
